{"id":1222,"date":"2025-09-19T02:23:42","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T22:23:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.actutech.app\/intel-says-arc-gpus-will-live-on-after-nvidia-deal\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T02:23:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T22:23:42","slug":"intel-says-arc-gpus-will-live-on-after-nvidia-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.actutech.app\/en\/intel-says-arc-gpus-will-live-on-after-nvidia-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Intel says Arc GPUs will live on after Nvidia deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.theverge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/chorus\/uploads\/chorus_asset\/file\/24063952\/2022_03_30_20_10_00.png?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;crop=0,0,100,100\" \/><figcaption>\n\t\t<\/figcaption><\/p><\/figure>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">In the future, Intel will make CPUs with Nvidia graphics inside \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/report\/781330\/nvidia-intel-explain-5-billion-deal-jensen-huang-lip-bu-tan-amd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">among other things<\/a>, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed today that Nvidia will contribute \u201cGPU chiplets\u201d that Intel can place alongside its x86 CPU cores instead of the Arc integrated graphics it develops in-house today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">But, at least for now, Intel says that doesn\u2019t mean Intel\u2019s own graphics are going away. \u201cWe\u2019re not discussing specific roadmaps at this time, but the collaboration is complementary to Intel\u2019s roadmap and Intel will continue to have GPU product offerings,\u201d Intel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/2913872\/intel-nvidia-deal-doesnt-change-its-roadmap.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told <em>PCWorld<\/em><\/a>, reiterating the commitment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2025\/1\/6\/24337345\/intel-discrete-gpu-ces-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">that Intel\u2019s Michelle Johnston Holthaus made<\/a> before she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/774149\/intels-top-female-leader-products-chief-and-former-interim-co-ceo-is-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abruptly left the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/2913669\/intel-arc-graphics-face-a-murky-future-after-nvidias-5b-rtx-mashup.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Like <em>PCWorld<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em>I\u2019m skeptical that Intel will truly push on graphics when Nvidia can do that job, particularly at a time when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/714269\/intel-keeps-carving-off-pieces-of-itself-networking-is-the-latest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intel keeps carving off pieces of itself<\/a> to save on costs! Why would Intel invest $$$ into catching up with Nvidia (and AMD) when Nvidia\u2019s no longer truly a competitor? Even if it continues, would Intel really give it its utmost?
