The 27-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor that a couple of <em>Verge <\/em>staffers have tested is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dell.com\/en-us\/shop\/alienware-27-4k-qd-oled-gaming-monitor-aw2725q\/apd\/210-brfr\/monitors-monitor-accessories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$699.99<\/a> right now, which is $200 off its original $899.99 price. It has sold at a similar price before, but discounts have been infrequent these past several months.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-block\">\n<h3>Alienware AW2725Q<\/h3>\n<div class=\"product-description\">Alienware\u2019s AW2725Q is a 26.7-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate, .03ms of latency, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. <\/div>\n<figure class=\"product-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.theverge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/08\/Alienware-AW2725Q.jpg?w=300\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<h3>Where to Buy:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dell.com\/en-us\/shop\/alienware-27-4k-qd-oled-gaming-monitor-aw2725q\/apd\/210-brfr\/monitors-monitor-accessories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <strike>$899<\/strike> $699.99 at <strong>Dell<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">I love this monitor (I published a review earlier this year at <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/impressions\/531783\/alienware-qd-oled-monitor-27-4k-aw2725q-specs-impressions-buy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polygon<\/a><\/em>). My colleague Nathan Edwards digs it, too, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/784323\/upgrading-240hz-oled-gaming-monitor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posting recently<\/a> about how making the jump to a high-refresh-rate 240Hz OLED can truly spoil you. I can attest to this; it was a little heartbreaking to go back to my 1080p IPS panels after returning the AW2725Q to Alienware. <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">This Alienware monitor made waves in early 2025 by proving that companies could deliver a 4K OLED for under $1,000. It wasn\u2019t all that long ago that 1440p was the standard at that price. Whether you actually have a PC that can play games in 4K at respectable frame rates or not, it\u2019s good to have a monitor that\u2019s ready to play high-resolution content for when you upgrade your PC.
