Apple is preparing to shuffle executive positions ahead of former COO Jeff Williams\u2019 retirement this year, according to a report from Bloomberg<\/em>\u2019s Mark Gurman<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among other changes, Eddy Cue, Apple\u2019s head of services, will reportedly oversee the health and fitness teams that may soon launch a rumored Health Plus subscription<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Williams previously led Apple\u2019s health initiatives and passed the role of COO to Sabih Khan, the iPhonemaker\u2019s former vice president of operations, in July. The company is splitting up Williams\u2019 other responsibilities before his departure at the end of this year, with Apple software head Craig Federighi taking over watchOS, and hardware leader John Ternus overseeing Apple Watch hardware engineering, according to Bloomberg<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg<\/em> also reports that Johnny Srouji, Apple\u2019s senior vice president of hardware technologies, is \u201cevaluating his future at the tech giant\u201d just months after his team launched the company\u2019s first in-house modem<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Apple is shuffling other positions as well. Bloomberg<\/em> reports that Apple fitness chief Jay Blahnik will report to health VP Sumbul Desai amid an internal investigation into conduct. Both Blahnik and Desai previously reported to Williams. In August, The<\/em> New York Times<\/em> reported<\/a> that a former employee sued Blahnik<\/a>, accusing him of creating a toxic work environment.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
