Black Friday is still nearly a month off, but that hasn\u2019t stopped the big-name retailers \u2014\u00a0specifically Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy \u2014\u00a0from discounting a slew of Fitbit devices in the run-up to the main event. Most of the company\u2019s smartwatches and fitness trackers are either matching or exceeding their lowest price to date, and in some cases, they\u2019re the cheapest they\u2019ve been since last year. We don\u2019t know with certainty whether these prices will drop further after Thanksgiving, but the current Fitbit deals are very good.<\/p>\n

Now is also a great time to pick up a Fitbit because the company has started rolling out the beta<\/a> of its new AI-powered fitness coach. It\u2019s starting with Android users who\u2019re subscribed to Fitbit Premium<\/a> ($9.99 per month \/ $79.88 per year), but Fitbit product manager Taylor Helgren recently told The Verge <\/em>the plan is to expand it to iOS users \u201clater this year.\u201d We got a brief hands-on<\/a> with the fitness coach a few months ago, but haven\u2019t tested it thoroughly enough to render a final verdict. Still, if you\u2019ve been hesitant to jump on the Fitbit wagon since Google\u2019s acquisition<\/a> of the company, the new features are a great sign that Google remains committed to the platform going forward.<\/p>\n
