As part of Microsoft’s big Xbox \u00ab\u00a0reset,\u00a0\u00bb which includes layoffs affecting 3,200 staffers, jettisoning studios, and shifting investments to focus on \u00ab\u00a0higher priority projects,\u00a0\u00bb Obsidian Entertainment is changing its plans. The studio, behind games like Grounded<\/em> and The Outer Worlds<\/em>, is starting work on a new Fallout<\/em> title and has canceled \u00ab\u00a0multiple projects,\u00a0\u00bb including a sequel to last year’s Avowed<\/em>, according to Bloomberg<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the success of the Fallout<\/em> TV show<\/a>, which is getting a third season<\/a>, Xbox hasn’t released a new game in the series since 2018’s Fallout 76<\/em><\/a>. Josh Sawyer, Obsidian’s studio design director, will head up the new Fall \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n
