This week NASA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/blogs\/missions\/2026\/10\/07\/nasa-releases-artemis-ii-lunar-science-data-images\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted over 800GB worth<\/a> of science data, images, and videos on the <a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/feature\/artemis-ii-preliminary-lunar-science-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Artemis II: Sights &amp; Sounds of Science site.<\/a> The archive includes over 11,000 photos and videos, over 8.5 hours of audio, and crew-annotated images, such as the one marking where they saw impact flashes on the dark side of the Moon. Together, they offer an unprecedented view inside a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/science\/907621\/artemis-ii-crew-crewed-mission-distance-record\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">historic<\/a> space mission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the more exciting reveals was footage of the Artemis II team telling the ground team back in Houston about its observation of impact flashes.
