At the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus announced that a full remake of <em>Persona 4<\/em> is in development. It\u2019s called <em>Persona 4 Revival<\/em>, and while there weren\u2019t many details revealed \u2014 like when it\u2019ll actually launch \u2014 we did get a brief teaser trailer. It\u2019s coming to Xbox, PS5, and PC, and will be available for Game Pass subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">While it was just announced, the remake has seemed like a foregone conclusion for some time \u2014 and not just because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/675607\/voice-actor-seemingly-confirms-a-persona-4-remake\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/675607\/voice-actor-seemingly-confirms-a-persona-4-remake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">several voice actors leaked its existence<\/a>. <em>Persona 3<\/em> received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/2\/2\/24058364\/persona-3-reload-review-xbox-ps5-steam\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/2\/2\/24058364\/persona-3-reload-review-xbox-ps5-steam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a similar remake last year with <em>Persona 3 Reload<\/em><\/a>, which was very well received, and in 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/23553499\/persona-p3-p4-review-switch-ps4-xbox\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/23553499\/persona-p3-p4-review-switch-ps4-xbox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">both <em>Persona 3<\/em> and <em>Persona 4<\/em> were re-released on modern platforms<\/a>, introducing them to new audiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\"><em>Persona 4<\/em> \u2014 which added a murder mystery element to the long-running RPG series \u2014 was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2008, though it received a major boost with the enhanced PS Vita version <em>Persona 4 Golden<\/em> three years later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">As for the next mainline entry in the franchise, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Atlus_West\/status\/1931777009572778036\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Atlus_West\/status\/1931777009572778036\" target=\"_blank\">Atlus wrote in a statement<\/a> that \u201cwe are actively preparing for the future development of the <em>Persona<\/em> series as a studio.\u201d So maybe we\u2019ll finally hear about <em>Persona 6<\/em> sometime soon.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The worst-kept secret in gaming is no longer a secret.
