After quietly pausing the rollout of Google Photos\u2019 AI-powered \u201cAsk Photos\u201d search tool, Google is now expanding access once again and making some improvements to the feature.<\/p>\n

Google\u2019s Gemini AI models power Ask Photos so that you can ask complex questions to help you find photos. But earlier this month<\/a>, a member of the Google Photos team said on X that<\/a> the feature \u201cisn\u2019t where it needs to be, in terms of latency, quality and UX.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a blog post published Thursday, Google said<\/a> that it has \u201cheard your feedback\u201d that the feature should \u201creturn more photos faster for simple searches, like \u2018beach\u2019 or \u2018dogs.\u2019\u201d Now, \u201cyou\u2019ll now see results right away while Gemini models continue to work in the background to find the most relevant photos or information for more complex queries,\u201d according to Google.<\/p>\n
