{"id":68,"date":"2025-05-10T02:41:48","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T22:41:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.actutech.app\/deltarunes-next-chapters-will-launch-alongside-the-switch-2\/"},"modified":"2025-05-10T02:41:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T22:41:48","slug":"deltarunes-next-chapters-will-launch-alongside-the-switch-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.actutech.app\/en\/deltarunes-next-chapters-will-launch-alongside-the-switch-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Deltarune\u2019s next chapters will launch alongside the Switch 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-caption=\"\" data-portal-copyright=\"\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.theverge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/ss_3fb0a253a8fa2f08a49f982d8c1e93c283e27f6d.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;crop=0,0,100,100\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/p><\/figure>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The paid release of <em>Deltarune<\/em>, Toby Fox\u2019s episodic <em>Undertale<\/em> spinoff, will be available for most people at the same time the Nintendo Switch 2 launches in Japan, Fox says in the <a href=\"https:\/\/toby.fangamer.com\/newsletters\/release-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Deltarune<\/em> newsletter for May 2025<\/a>. <em>Deltarune\u2019s<\/em> first two chapters, released in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2018\/10\/31\/18047410\/undertale-spinoff-sequel-deltarune-toby-fox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/9\/16\/22677626\/toby-fox-undertale-sequel-deltarune-chapter-2-release-date-mac-pc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2021<\/a> respectively, were free, but this new release, which adds chapters 3 and 4, will be a paid version that costs $24.99.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">How the release timing will work is a little confusing, but let me explain. For PS4, PS5, Steam, and the original Switch, <em>Deltarune<\/em> will launch on June 5th at 12AM in Japan, which translates to June 4th at 11AM ET \/ 8AM PT for people in the US.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The Nintendo Switch 2 version of <em>Deltarune<\/em>, on the other hand, will launch at midnight local time in most regions on June 5th. This decision actually means that people in New Zealand or Australia who get a Switch 2 at midnight have a slight head start. \u201cBut, for convenience\u2019s sake, we\u2019re just going to ignore you guys and pretend that the game is not out\u2026 Meanwhile, don\u2019t say anything about it please,\u201d Fox says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Future updates to <em>Deltarune<\/em> will be added for free, Fox said in a newsletter last month, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=83-uYZHgQ6Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Switch 2 version<\/a> will have a special room that takes advantage of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/games\/642493\/nintendo-switch-mouse-controls-metroid-prime-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">console\u2019s mouse
