Fortnite<\/em> players are able to hop into matches following a login issue that Epic Games described as preventing users from \u201cgetting in reliably.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis log-in outage is resolved; all players are able to log-in again across all platforms,\u201d Epic said at 8:54PM ET<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ll continue monitoring our services to ensure there are no other issues.\u201d Epic posted its initial status message about the issue at 6:39PM ET<\/a>, and shared that things were mostly fixed with the exception of PlayStation at 8:02PM ET<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the login issue was happening, I wasn\u2019t able to get into the game on my Nintendo Switch 2. When I tried, the game showed a message that says \u201cunable to sign in to your account for online services\u201d and to \u201cplease try again later.\u201d I also watched frustrated Twitch streamers who are trying to compete in a scheduled tournament that weren\u2019t able to log in or play games.<\/p>\n

In other updates, Epic said that the login issue also affected two of its other games, Rocket League<\/em> and Fall Guys<\/em>\u201d and that it was investigating login errors for titles using Epic Online Services.<\/p>\n

Fortnite<\/em> dealt with an extended downtime last year<\/a> during the launch of its Greek mythology-themed season<\/a>. In 2021, the game\u2019s servers went down for a few hours near the end of the year<\/a>.<\/p>\n
