Gmail is trying to make it easier to track your online orders with a new Purchases tab<\/a> coming to mobile and the web. When you click on the tab, you\u2019ll only see emails related to your purchases, including order confirmations and shipping estimates.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This new tab builds on Gmail\u2019s existing package-tracking features on mobile<\/a>, which show packages expected to arrive within the next 24 hours at the top of your inbox. Gmail also places order tracking cards<\/a> at the top of emails with at-a-glance information about your purchase.<\/p>\n

Along with this new tab, Gmail will start flagging timely deals within its Promotions category and roll out a new filter that lets you sort emails by the \u201cmost relevant\u201d ones. Google says this filter will surface updates based on brands \u201cyou engage with the most,\u201d but it notes that you can switch back to viewing your \u201cmost recent\u201d emails at any time. <\/p>\n
