The Apple TV Plus streaming service is being rebranded with a \u201cvibrant new identity,\u201d according to the Cupertino company, and is \u201cnow simply Apple TV.\u201d <\/p>\n

The announcement was briefly mentioned at the bottom of Apple\u2019s latest press release<\/a> regarding the December 12th streaming debut of F1 The Movie<\/em>. At the time of writing, no changes have been made to the current Apple TV Plus branding across Apple\u2019s website<\/a> or press portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The change is likely to cause some confusion, given that the new name is already used by the Apple TV app that allows users to buy or rent movies, and hardware like the Apple TV 4K<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Even the wording on Apple\u2019s own announcement highlights the muddled branding, saying that F1<\/em> is available to purchase on Apple TV \u201cahead of its global streaming debut on Apple TV,\u201d and that \u201cApple TV is available on the Apple TV app\u201d on devices like\u2026 you got it, Apple TV.<\/p>\n

Apple hasn\u2019t shared any other details about the new branding for its streaming service, so it\u2019s unclear if it will be introducing an updated logo, or finding other ways to distinguish it from existing products. <\/p>\n
