The dispute is also costing Google \u2014 <em>Variety<\/em> reports that <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/news\/youtube-tv-disney-blackout-subscribers-canceling-1236571504\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Drive Research survey<\/a> of 1,100 US consumers found 24 percent canceled or planned to cancel their subscriptions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">More than 20 Disney-owned channels <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/811316\/youtube-tv-disney-channels-pulled-deal-renewal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">went dark on YouTube TV<\/a> after their contract expired at 11:59 PM ET on October 30th. While <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/inside-youtube\/disney-youtube-tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google accuses Disney<\/a> of pulling its channels from YouTube TV as a \u201cnegotiating tactic,\u201d and says its terms would rise prices for YouTube TV customers, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/news\/youtube-tv-blackout-loses-abc-espn-disney-networks-1236566477\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disney says<\/a> Google is \u201crefusing to pay fair rates\u201d for its content.
