And in 2028, the automaker will introduce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/5\/22\/23732877\/ford-level-3-driver-assist-autonomous-city-streets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a hands-free, eyes-off Level 3 autonomous driving feature<\/a> as part of its more affordable (and hopefully more profitable) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/ford-motor-company\/757243\/ford-ev-truck-breakthrough-model-t\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universal Electric Vehicle (UEV) platform<\/a>, set to launch in 2027.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">Most importantly, Ford said it would be developing a lot of the core technology around these products in-house in order to reduce costs and retain greater control over.
