New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing Valve for \u00ab\u00a0illegally promoting gambling\u00a0\u00bb through the loot box systems it has built for video games like Counter-Strike 2<\/em>, Team Fortress 2<\/em>, and Dota 2<\/em>, according to a press release<\/a>. The attorney general seeks to \u00ab\u00a0permanently stop Valve from promoting gambling features in its games, disgorge all ill-gotten gains, and pay fines for violating New York’s laws.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
