In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verizon.com\/about\/news\/verizon-puts-customers-first\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its announcement<\/a>, Verizon says the plan drops activation and upgrade fees, while offering one flat price for each line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-none\">The $30 price for new customers is an \u00ab\u00a0initial promotional offer\u00a0\u00bb that applies after enabling autopay and taking advantage of a discount for switching carriers, according <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verizon.com\/plans\/unlimited\/#:~:text=It%27s%20our%20simplest,and%20lots%20more.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to Verizon<\/a>. But before customers can ditch Verizon&rsquo;s $40 fee to activate or upgrade a device, they&rsquo;ll need to opt in to the carrier&rsquo;s <a
