GoPro CEO Nick Woodman said in a letter<\/a> to customers that making cameras is still his company’s \u00ab\u00a0core DNA,\u00a0\u00bb after a proposed $285 million acquisition by Starman<\/a> was announced earlier this week. He claims the merger puts GoPro in a better position to continue developing its content creation tech, after saying in the deal announcement that it would work with Starman to address \u00ab\u00a0important areas of national security related to cameras, optics and AI infrastructure.\u00a0\u00bb <\/p>\n

YouTuber Mark \u00ab\u00a0Markiplier\u00a0\u00bb Fischbach, who prior to the acquisition <\/a>became GoPro’s largest individual shareholder, is not mentioned at all.<\/p>\n
