US District Judge Amit Mehta takes Google&rsquo;s side <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/28712400-penske-and-chegg-v-google-dismissal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a ruling on Wednesday<\/a>, writing that PMC and Chegg&rsquo;s claims don&rsquo;t stand up to antitrust law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/619051\/chegg-google-ai-overviews-monopoly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuits filed last year, Chegg<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/ai-artificial-intelligence\/777788\/rolling-stone-penske-media-sue-google-ai-overviews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMC accused Google<\/a> of abusing its monopoly power by coercing publishers into supplying content for AI Overviews for free, or risk disappearing from search results.
